• An authorisation hold is a temporary hold of funds on your debit or credit card when a purchase is made. Depending on your card, the funds will appear as a deduction on your statement, or as a reduction in the balance of available funds until the booking is confirmed.
• If your booking expires or is rejected, the authorisation hold will appear as a refund, or the amount will be released back to your payment account. This process may take up to 7 business days, depending on the processing time of your bank.
• Once a refund has been initiated, you will receive the refund as a credit on your payment card in the same currency as what you paid for.
• The refund takes approximately 5–10 business days to be reflected in your account, depending on the individual bank's processing time.
• Refunds may sometimes be reversed instead. When this happens, the original charge will no longer appear on your credit card statement and a separate credit will not be issued.
• Refunded bookings are not eligible for cashback/rewards.
